Your account

Creating an account

Click Sign up in the top-right corner. Enter your first and last name, your email address, a username and a password. We send a verification email: click the link in it to activate your account. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

One account works for everything. You can use APIs as a consumer and publish APIs as a provider without creating a second account.

Signing in and out

Click Log in, enter your email and password, and you're in. To sign out, open the menu under your profile picture in the top-right corner.

Forgotten your password?

On the login page, click Forgot password, enter your email address, and follow the link we email you to choose a new password. For your security the link expires after a short time and can only be used once.

Your profile

Open Console → Profile settings (from the menu under your profile picture) to change your name, username and profile picture. Your name and picture may be shown publicly, for example as the creator of an API you publish or next to reviews and discussion posts you write.

Keeping your account secure

• Use a strong, unique password.
• Never share your password or your API keys. APIHiver staff will never ask for them.
• If you think your key has been exposed, delete it and create a new one straight away.
