Using APIs

Subscribing to a plan

Free and paid plans, checkout, free trials and coupons.

To call an API you need an active subscription to one of its plans. Every plan gives you a monthly allowance of requests; paid plans give you more.

Choosing a plan

Open the API's Pricing tab. For each plan you'll see:

  • Price per month in Indian rupees (₹). ₹0 means free.
  • Requests per month: your monthly quota.
  • Rate limit: the maximum number of requests per second.
  • Hard limit or overage: whether calls stop when you reach the quota, or keep working and are billed per extra request. See Rate limits and quotas.
  • Features: what's included, for example support level or access to specific endpoints.

The plan the provider recommends is marked Most Popular.

Subscribing to a free plan

Click Start Free Plan, check the summary (Total due today: ₹0.00) and click Subscribe. Your subscription starts immediately. You don't need a card.

Subscribing to a paid plan

  1. Click Subscribe on the plan you want.
  2. The checkout window shows the plan price, any tax, and the total due today. If you have a coupon code, enter it here to see the discount before you pay.
  3. Click Subscribe and complete the payment in the secure payment window (processed by Razorpay).
  4. As soon as the payment is confirmed, your subscription is Active and you can call the API.

If you close the payment window without paying, nothing is charged and you can try again.

Free trials

Some paid plans include a free trial of a set number of days. You get full access to the plan straight away, and the first charge happens only when the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.

After subscribing

  • Your subscription appears in Console → My Subscriptions, with this month's usage and renewal date.
  • Use your API key to call the API.
  • You can switch plans or cancel at any time.

One subscription per API

You hold one plan per API at a time. To move to a different plan of the same API, use Switch to This Plan on the Pricing tab. You don't need to cancel first.
